Busy Few Weeks

A few snapshots from the recent firing I shared with Joy. A number of nice pots came out, a few new forms I tried out and lots of Joy's vases too. She needed a few extra vases for an important event so we hustled down to Bakersville to fire the little converted electric soda kiln. I can report that the baby soda kiln fired in record time and produced a great little batch of pots. I'll get some more photos of the best from this wood firing up soon, but for now got to get them sanded and cleaned and priced and packed. I'll be out in the Smokies for a pottery festival June 5^th and 6^th and then back for the Toe River Studio Tour.
